We are a pioneer of cutting-edge microbiology research collaborations. Recent examples include the Scottish Biological Resource Centre (SBRC) which is involved in bioprospecting for active anti-bacterial biopharmaceutical compounds, and the Intestinal Health Consortium which is extending the knowledge of the role of gut bacterial biofilms in healthy individuals and those who suffer from intestinal disorders.
