We have moved!

NCIMB has moved! The big move-in day was just before Christmas, so we returned to our new facility in January. We’ve had a hectic start to the year settling in – unpacking, organising and, of course, analysing samples in our lovely new labs! NCIMB appoints Dr Edward Green as CEO

Dr Edward Green has joined NCIMB as Chief Executive Officer. He takes over from Dr Carol Phillips who is retiring after 12 years in the post. Based in Aberdeen, NCIMB Ltd is a well-established provider of analytical services, microbial cultures, and biological material storage, to a growing global client base across multiple sectors including life sciences. The company provides essential underpinning services, such as microbial identification and monitoring, to companies, including many household names, from the food, drink, supplements, energy and pharmaceutical sectors. 18 PhD places open for application at CDT SuMMer

NCIMB is delighted to be involved in a PhD project based at Heriot-Watt University that aims to improve understanding of the biodegradation and residence time of microplastics in the ocean. The project is one of 18 that make up the first of three rounds of PhD scholarships at the Centre for Doctoral Training in Sustainable Management of UK Marine Resources (CDT SuMMeR).
