NCIMB is pleased to welcome two new members of staff.

Michelle Robertson has been appointed Oilfield Services and Environmental Manager, and Dylan Murphy joins NCIMB as a Laboratory Analyst who will be working in our oilfield microbiology group.
Michelle’s background is in chemistry and she has spent the last ten years working for Baker Hughes in their drilling fluids and remediation product line. Whilst there, Michelle progressed from Laboratory Scientist to Laboratory Manager of the Eastern Hemisphere Drilling Fluids Lab.
Dylan studied Nutraceuticals in Health & Nutrition at Dublin Institute of Technology, graduating in October 2017, after writing his thesis on the antibiotic resistance profiles of bacterial isolates from baby infant formula.
NCIMB has extensive experience in oilfield microbiology and provides a one-stop-shop oilfield chemistry and radiochemistry testing service. The company also developed the MARA and LumiMARA bioassays for whole effluent toxicity testing, which were recommended by the UK’s Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) as part of their preferred approach to meeting OSPAR’s requirements for implementation of a risk based approach to produced water testing.
